The Reaper Leviathan often swims deeper down but not quite at the seafloor. It also seems to circle its prey (or more commonly the player) for a few moments before attacking and often strikes from behind by surprise. According to the data bank entry, this roar is a form of echolocation, though it does not function like this in-game. The Reaper Leviathan emits loud, echoing roars audible from great distances. Therefore extreme caution should be taken while exploring those biomes. There are 25 reaper leviathans in Subnautica 7 in the mountains, 8 in the dunes and 10 in the crash zone.
KILLING A REAPER LEVIATHAN SUBNAUTICA SKIN
Multiple scars can be seen on the body, particularly around the facial area, and the blueish-white skin appears similar in texture to human skin. It has two maroon mandibles on each side of its face which slowly get darker, tipped with black claws, four in total. Its head features a horn (most likely used for ramming its prey), a large mouth housing many teeth, as well as two pairs of eyes with grey sclera. The fins and other red areas of the body possess slight bioluminescence. Most of its fins, along with its back, are red in color. It also has two dorsal fins running along the length of its entire body, and two ventral fins taking a small portion of its belly. The Reaper Leviathan possesses a long, slim, muscular body with four caudal fins and two pectoral fins. Fins and mandibles included, the creature is just a little longer than a Cyclops submarine. I was playing on hardcore mode, as I have never played subnautica in any other mode than hardcore mode, so yeah Welcome to the Wall of Text.The Reaper Leviathan is a massive creature. So yeah I killed a leviathan, and just to add to it. He was happy enough though, there was about 300 games on the thing.) Anyway thats my story.

I don't have any pictures as I no longer even own the xbox in question and I have now built myself a nice gaming pc (I truly hate console, I actually gave my xbox one away, I hated it so bad. I was actually really suprised how fast he died, I can only assume he had already taken damage from me ramming him with my cyclopse.
I would say I even stabbed him less than that.
Can I kill it? and I swear I stasised this guy like 4 times tops and stabbed him maybe 10-15 times and he died. I can't remember exactly how many, but it was on Xbox one and it was before they made it so that leviathans could actually damage the cyclopse, so I was actually trolling the reaper and honking at it and letting it knaw on my ship and laughing at the fact taht it couldn't harm me, and then I started ramming it, then I got really bold and was like, hey I wonder if I can stasis rifle this guy so I hoped out and tried it and was very pleased with the results, and then the next logical question was of course. It actually only took a few knife hits to kill it too. (plus I need to have at least one post to start my own topic I have only owned Subnautica for 3 years, but whatever) I killed the reaper on the other side of the aurora, I don't know if it is the same one that guards the engines, but I killed it. I basically just came onto the forums to create a bug report, but I ram across this and was like hell yeah I killed a reaper.
